The Global Journal of Medical and Health Sciences Research (GJMHSR) is an open-access scientific journal that operates under a peer-review process with a frequency of three issues per year. It disseminates articles that encompass a wide range of approaches and methodologies, all adhering to high scientific standards within the comprehensive field of medical and health sciences. English is the language utilized by the journal. The editors will assess the submitted manuscripts solely based on their relevance to the journal's scope and their academic quality, which includes factors such as clarity, significance, and originality. It is the duty of editors and editorial staff to uphold the confidentiality of the details associated with submitted manuscripts. They are permitted to share this information exclusively with the author, reviewers, other editorial consultants, and the publisher, adhering to the principles of publishing and the integrity of the review process. Editors and members of the editorial board are not permitted to utilize information from unpublished manuscripts for their own research purposes unless they have obtained explicit written consent from the authors. Privileged information or ideas obtained through the process of manuscript handling are kept confidential. The peer review procedure of the journal employs a double-blind system, engaging a minimum of two specialists in the relevant field. This assessment process ensures that the manuscripts chosen align with the journal's high standards. Manuscript evaluations must remain impartial and should not consider the author's race, citizenship, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic background, political ideologies, or institutional affiliations. Editors will work in partnership with publishers and the academic society to address ethical issues found in submitted manuscripts. Any instances of unethical publishing conduct will be scrutinized, even after the work has been published. If the concerns are found to be valid, the journal will publish necessary corrections, retractions, or other relevant notes, even if these are discovered years after the original publication. Other than the journal, the decisions regarding editing and publication will not be influenced by the policies of governmental bodies or any other organizations. Editors do not take into account manuscripts that involve conflicts of interest stemming from competitive, collaborative, or various relationships with authors, or institutions.
Should the Editor-in-Chief choose not to engage actively in the editorial process, in that case the editorial team will assume responsibility for most communications with authors and reviewers; this arrangement is completely dependent on the Editor-in-Chief's personal views. The primary duty of the Editor-in-Chief is to support the Editorial Office in overseeing the journal's operations, which includes making scientific decisions related to the journal's focus, inviting esteemed scientists to become members of the editorial board, suggesting themes for special issues, and supporting guest editors in the preparation of these special issues. The Editor-in-Chief will make the final decision on manuscript publication, taking into account the feedback from reviewers as well as legal considerations related to libel, copyright violations, and plagiarism. The Editor-in-Chief has the option to consult with fellow editors or reviewers when determining this decision. The Editor-in-Chief will have absolute authority over all editorial material within the journal. An editorial board member will be requested to assess up to ten manuscripts annually. Members of the Editorial Board are urged to actively promote the journal within their professional networks using diverse methods. In addition, the editorial board members will be engaged for their opinions or feedback regarding new regulations related to the journal on a regular basis. Communication with members of the editorial board is primarily conducted via email. A member of the editorial board has the option to resign from their position at any time if they feel that the requests from the journal's editorial office are excessive. Various factors are taken into account during editorial board member selection, including demonstrated expertise in the relevant field, institutional affiliation, and overall reputation. The editorial team strives to respect authors' wishes regarding the exclusion of reviewers they find unsuitable. One of the key roles of journal editors is to promptly communicate the editorial decision concerning the submitted manuscripts to the authors and to oversee the prompt publication of manuscripts that have been accepted.
